So. i adore Jason Castro. and his live web chat was FAB tonight. He played two new songs, including his new single, “Let’s Just Fall in Love Again”… which is also his album title. i love this lad to the max and can’t wait for his album. He’s hilarious, awkward, and melts my little heart.

I turned 22. Our friends, Adam Agin & Stephen Gordon, came to visit from TennesseeLand and played some of their magical music for us at Mt. Trashmore… Becky flew in from Boston, and Sarah, Tashia, and Leslie came along to celebrate. ’twas a fabulous evening. and we ended the night with brownies and the beacharooney.

Day 327: House.

House.

House.

I need to finish this book. and get a job.

the more time goes on, i really want to work in the film/tv industry. [and i still want to work in the media/music industry too. I hope someday i can figure out how to make both worlds come together.] Anyway. I’m in the middle of season 3 of 24… intense. It would be so amazing to write for that kind of show and work on set! I’m pretty much a film freak right now. Last night I watched Priceless… with Audrey Tautou! love her. i like foreign films with subtitles. today i watched Bride Wars & House Bunny… not really quality films, but i definitely enjoyed them more than i thought i would. i was pleasantly surprised by House Bunny!

Day 311: The Fountain.

forlorn by the fountain.

forlorn by the fountain.

We went to Busch Gardens the last week of Glory at the Gardens… We were waiting at the fountain for Delia, her brother, & friend. Brandon Heath was phenomenal. i love that lad & was pumped to see him again… such a funny jokester. We heard Mandisa while we were waiting in line to talk to Brandon…. she’s fabulous We ended up not being able to talk to either. SAD indeed. TOBYMAC is an absolute phenomenon. I never get tired of him and his magic. epic. we didn’t get to ride any rollercoasters again. LAME.

Day 308: Tyler Burkum!

a musical hero.

a musical hero.

After a decade of listening to Audio Adrenaline & Tyler Burkum, we FINALLY got to meet Tyler in person & tell him how much his music means to us. We hung outside the Norva for a few hours… Tyler plays guitar and does background vocals for Mat Kearney now & is on the road with him. We stood outside until 12:30 am & it was SO worth it. Tyler remembered talking to me on myspace and that i was Electroluminescence…. and we have mutual friends… so we had alot to talk about and there were no awkward silences whatsoever. It was absolutely glorious.

We made a new friend while we were standing outside for hours. God works in magical, mysterious ways. Annie was filming an audition tape for the face of fox 43, which another dear friend of mine is trying out for as well, and we ended up helping her film for a couple of hours & talking…. finding out that we had ALOT in common with each other! so now we’re going to keep in touch!

Earlier in the day, we went to see Jars of Clay play a short, mostly unplugged set at Regent University’s chapel. it was MAGNANIMOUS. exactly what my heart needed…. my heart soaks up Jars of Clay. Such sweet men & not only has their music been dear to me over the years…. they are full of wisdom and encouragement. I always feel more knowledgeable and refreshed when i hear them talk/sing/play!
